I use in my coffee, dissolves easily, no taste and starts working withing 1 week. My hair and nails are much stronger and growing quickly. I'm going to continue for another month to see if my skin improves.
P.S.- I even got my husband using this.
It dissolves pretty easily in hot beverages. If I want an iced coffee I dissolve this in a couple ounces of hot water and then add my coffee, milk and ice. My skin, hair and nails are healthier and stronger. My hair stylist remarks on how resilient my hair is even though she bleaches it a LOT to dye it bright colors. I never suffer from breakage. It makes my nails grow too darn fast! I have to go to the salon more because my nails grow out in a couple weeks and need to be redone!
Other than that, it doesn't smell and it is tasteless. It mixes well with blender or a frother.
So this powder was wonderful at one point. I went through a whole pound in a couple months, had to do half doses or else i got soreness. When I ordered the 2 pound bag, they'd changed the mix. It was now more concentrated, so the scoop was smaller and powder more dense / less volume.
Taste and mixability no different. But the powder now congealed less in my shakes, making them more watery than when i had the previous mix, probably because the powder was more volume bigger dose less concentrated.
But now I notice, even at half a dose, my body gets tired and sore. Liekly from the ridiculous amounts of Hyaluronic acid and biotin. For one, the biotin is 33,333% DV -why? unsure what the producer was thinknig adding that amount in. Side effects are everywhere listed by people. As for the H Acid, no DV has been established, but from expereince, let me tell you the human body does need it, but very little. It grabs and hangs onto it quick. There's just way too much in this mix. for reference, an 1/8th tsp of pure unconcentrated H Acid dissolved w/ 1/8 tspoon sea salt in a 16 oz bottle of water is enoguh to last me 3 months. It goes bad by the time i can drink it all. a capfull is the dose otherwise you get heavy and sore.
So, unfortunately im switching to a collagen only brand. some producers getting fancy with their mixes are being arrogant thinking they are somehow catering to everyone's bodies.
Once the body has so much biotic and h acid built up, it cant take much more. collagen seems to be a different story though.
if you buy this, expect to have to take it less often and less often as you get the constituents added to the collagen built up in your system.
I may dilute the rest of my bag with pure collagen from elsewhere since it was 50 bucks, so it dont go to waste
We will provide and update once we have used it for 3 months. As of now it’s only been a month.
Whole collagen has not reliably been shown to reduce joint pain or to improve skin, joints or any connective tissue regardless of the animal source of that collagen.
Recent research does support collagen peptides. improving the smallest wrinkles and increasing skin thickness.
While the variety of sources on the label is unlikely to benefit consumers, it causes no harm and does not increase the price compared to competitors.
The research did utilize peptides. Peptides are very small fragments of a protein, effectively pre-digested.
Peptides are proteins that have been chemically split into fragments, probably of random lengths. It is unlikely that the original source of that collagen affects the length, content, or structure of the fragments.
Whole collagen does not act the same. Apparently, human digestion does not result in the same absorbable fragments. Equivalence is not guaranteed for ANY collagen source because the successful papers did not specify either the brand or the "digestion" method that was utilized.
It has been proposed that the beneficial peptides comprise only two or three linked amino acids and the sequence has not been characterized. No source of peptides appears better than any other.
Why not buy what is least expensive and equally likely to help?
